The Games Forum Presents

The fellowship program

A Community of Game Creators

Work with Peers.  We’ve partnered with game development studios, publishers and others in the game creation ecosystem to host Fellows at their offices.
Community Affordability.    For just $200, pre-screened applicants can rent a full time desk.
Build Connections.  The Fellowship Program is a great way for indie developers and designers to get plugged into the game development community within a curated, safe environment.  It’s not just space — it’s a community.

How it works

We know that finding good, quiet working space can be hard.  So we’ve partnered with some of the top companies in New York City’s game development industry to host game creators of all types — designers, developers, writers, artists and more.  The companies win because they get to hang out with smart, innovative people.  Developers win because they get access to great space and a collaborative community at a price far below market.

Talk to Us

While it is selective, joining the Games Forum Fellowship Program is simple.  Just follow the “Apply Now” button, tell us a bit about yourself in the web form, and we’ll be in touch to set up a time to chat!  We just want to learn a bit more about you and the projects you’re tackling.  This will also give you an opportunity to let us know if you have any special requests — partners you’re applying with or unique space needs, for instance.  Keep in mind that the Fellowship Program is open to anyone involved in the creation of games:  game developers, designers, writers, musicians, artists and more!

Pick Your Space

Once you’ve been accepted into the program, you’ll get your pick of available spaces within companies in the game industry around the city.  While we partner with a variety of firms, including game studios, publishers/distributors, marketers and more, we may not have space availability at every location.  Given this, we offer members the opportunity to choose a new place to work each month — this gives our community a unique opportunity to connect with a variety of game creators.
